Washington, DC, May 4, 2017 – Lobbyists 4 Good, a crowdfunding platform that enables everyday people to hire lobbyists, is excited to announce it has successfully lobbied Congress on behalf of the American people.

“We are excited that Congress decided to add 2.5 Million to the US Institute of Peace budget,” says Billy DeLancey, Co-founder, and CEO of Lobbyists 4 Good. “The additional funding will allow the US Institute of Peace to increase their work in Iraq and open up two new offices in Tunisia and Nigeria.”

Lobbyists 4 Good spent over two months meeting with staff members on the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee pleading the case for more funding. House and Senate appropriators were receptive to the idea of funding US Institute of Peace at a higher level because of the amazing work they do in preventing violent conflicts around the world.

With the crowdfunding model, everyday Americans will be able to donate to cover a portion of a lobbyist’s hourly rate. Once the organization has raised enough money to cover the hourly fee, a lobbying firm or a self-employed lobbyist will conduct a high-level meeting with a member of Congress or their staff to lobby for bipartisan legislation.

Further information about Lobbyists 4 Good can be found on their website, www.lobbyists4good.org
