Lobbyists 4 Good Launches New Resource For Citizen Advocates

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2018- Lobbyists 4 Good, the first crowdfunding platform that helps everyday Americans hire professional lobbyists, is on a quest to get the government working for the people again. To help with this effort, they have launched a free resource, titled The Advocacy Guide, that teaches citizens how to effect change in Washington.

 

"Our organization's goal is to make democracy more accessible for all Americans," said Billy DeLancey, Lobbyists 4 Good's Executive Director. "The Advocacy Guide helps everyday people get things done in Washington. Citizens have a lot more influence than most people think, but we have to be smarter when reaching out to our representatives."

 

The Advocacy Guide gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at how Congress works, what gets legislators' attention, how to approach elected officials at the state or federal level, and provides professional tips to help the average citizen stand out from the crowd.

 

In an AP poll conducted last July, 75% of Americans said they have too little influence in government. The work Lobbyists 4 Good is doing through their crowdfunding platform is helping to level the playing field between everyday Americans and large corporations, special interest groups, and wealthy donors. By hiring lobbyists to work on their behalf, the average American will have a stronger voice and more powerful representation in the halls of Congress.
